I've been creating Vector artwork for as long as I can remember. Adobe recognized the unorthodoxed ways in which I was using Illustrator to create work that wasn't typical for vector art. They reached out to me and we've been working together on creative projects and I've been consulting, helping conceptualize new tools and features for future updates of Adobe Creative Suite products.

Adobe Illustrator 50th Anniversary

For the 50th anniversary of Adobe Illustrator and the launch of CS6, I was commissioned to create my take on the iconic "Birth of Venus" by Botticelli that was the centre piece of Adobe Illustrator's brand imagery. The How-To was then bundled with each copy of CS6 and the artwork was featured in the closing of a short documentary about Adobe Illstrator.

Soft Vector Art

The team at Adobe asked me to create a piece to showcase how I create soft edges and effects in Adobe Illustrator as opposed the hard edge style that is more indicative of vector art.

Adobe Photoshop Sketch Mobile App

Beyond vector art and my desktop studio setup, Adobe asked me to create a piece as a demostration of their new mobile app Adobe Photoshop Sketch. I came up with the idea of depicting the moment when the Little Mermaid decided to give up her legs and return to the ocean. I sketched and painted variations of the concept and highlighted tools and features I used for the How-To.
